WEAVING

For step-by-step weaving instructions, see Leaves and Petals on page 78.

1. With red yarn (or your choice of color), weave 5 petals for each flower.

2. With yellow yarn (or your choice of color), weave 1 single peg half hitch circle (see page 9) for the center of the flower.

3. With green yarn (or your choice of color), weave as many leaves for each flower as you like.

4. One by one, stitch the points of the petals to the center of the flower. Then stitch about 1” (2.5 cm) of each petal to the petal beside it.

5. Stitch the round edges of the leaves into the spaces between the outside edges of the petals.

6. Use the latch hook to pull any ends into the channels of the weaving or weave in the ends with a tapestry needle.

7. Optional: Lightly steam the flower motif with a steam iron. Hold the iron ⅛” (1 cm) above the surface of the weaving and push the steam button. Do not rest the iron on the weaving.
